How I Got Here!

My commitment to inclusive education is both deeply personal and professionally purposeful. A foundational understanding of the challenges and opportunities within neurodivergent student support began early in life, witnessing firsthand the experience within my own family. This perspective has been the catalyst for a dedicated 30+ year career focused on systemic improvement for students with disabilities and their teachers.

My professional experience spans various roles in educational settings, including as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and trainer, which provides a comprehensive view of the needs at every level of a school organization.

I now lead Inclusiveology as its founder, partnering with school leadership to cultivate staff capacity for meaningful inclusion and maximizing learning possibilities for every student.

My work is directly informed by the understanding of historical barriers and the need for school-level, actionable support for students, school staff, and families. I coach and support educators in implementing evidence-based strategies and specialized tools designed to significantly increase student engagement, independence, and accessibility for children with disabilities and neurodivergencies.

The core of my philosophy is built on a solution-centered approach. By shifting the focus from deficits to strengths and practical interventions, we can reduce student frustration and support learning environments where all children belong and grow as learners.

At my core, I believe that every child, regardless of learning difference, deserves full and authentic membership in their classroom and school community. By providing teachers and staff with the necessary knowledge, strategic tools, and reliable supports, we enable schools to make true, lasting inclusion a systemic reality.
